Lenten Pastus
Wednesday evenings in Lent have become a special time for the community to gather together. It is a time to nourish or feed the spirit at Eucharist, the body at our simple soup supper and the mind at our presentations.
The Latin word for feeding, or food, is pastus. Since we are feeding the spirit, the body and the mind, what we celebrate on the Wednesday evenings of Lent is our Lenten Pastus.
Our schedule is as follows:
Celebration of Eucharist at 5:30 p.m.
A simple soup supper around 6:15 p.m.
A Lenten presentation at 7:00 p.m.
