This invitation to begin a formal process of initiation is extended to all non-baptized adults or those who have not been fully incorporated into the Roman Catholic Church. Parishioners with relatives or friends who might be interested in learning more about the Catholic faith are encouraged to invite them to begin the RCIA process. Simply contact the rectory office to set up an appointment with the pastor or pastoral minister.
This initial step of initiation involves gathering with other inquirers in a relaxed setting. This is a time to share personal stories and questions, a time to hear the good news of salvation, and a time of introduction to the parish.
This is a year-round process consisting of four stages: Inquiry or Pre-Catechumenate, Catechumenate, Period of Enlightenment, and Mystagogia. The time varies according to the readiness and convenience of the individuals in each stage.
