Youth Ministry
Activities
Organizations
Our catechetical ministry is made possible by the generous service of a large team of volunteers. Our parish is grateful for their ministry.

Volunteers are needed in every aspect of the program. Catechists and classroom aides, office assistants and substitutes, youth ministers and chaperones, retreat leaders and kitchen crews, religious education board members and special project coordinators all add to our success.

Our faith is a gift given to us by God for the good of Christ's Body, the Church. All family members and the entire parish are called upon to share this gift of faith with the youth of our community.

Requirements for volunteers are a faith-filled heart, a prayerful life and a desire to serve. Training for specific ministries are provided by the parish and through diocesan programs. Volunteers who are ministering in a close and consistent fashion with youth must provide the parish with a Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Clearance.

Catechetical Volunteers
Catechetical volunteers donate generously of their time and talent to share the faith of the Catholic Church with the youth of the parish. Every effort is made to ensure that these volunteers are qualified for this ministry. Initial training and on-going enrichment opportunities are made available to catechetical volunteers.

It is an expectation of the parish that all students and families will support and respect these volunteer catechists. If there is a concern, families are encouraged to speak directly with the catechist. If a resolution can not be achieved at this level, the Director of Religious Education should be contacted. In all situations, the pastor remains the final arbiter.
